About this model.

What runs here
MuJoCo simulates only the plug and socket contact, in your browser. The complete cycle is a scripted illustration. Forces are examples and timing is not to scale.
How it places a connector
Two camera checks on every unit: the board, then the plug in the grip. The robot aims for the header and presses gently, so the chamfer guides the last fraction of a millimetre. A search is only a fallback: a fixed routine, not a trained robot policy.
How units flow
Each unit rides on a pallet: the board in its fixture, the harness housing in a nest, its far end in a test adapter. Loaded pallets come up the lift at the right. The robot works one pallet while the next waits behind it. At the left a picker packs each passed unit on edge into an ESD tote that holds four; a full tote rolls off to the tote store, then belts rise between the rollers and carry the empty one waiting in front across into its place. Empty pallets return under the bench. A reject stops the line until a person clears it; the robot then posts the rejected harness into the locked bin.
What it checks
The latch force signature, a pull, and continuity and isolation on every wire.
Not yet proven
False passes from half-seated plugs, damage at seating force, pallet repeatability, cycle time, and safety near people.
Next
Build the robot and run it on customer parts. Track grip and header offsets across units to flag a worn fixture or gripper early.
