This policy explains what Defex Robotics, Inc. (“Defex”, “we”, “us”), a Delaware corporation, collects through defexrobotics.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to privacy@defexrobotics.com.
What we collect.
- What you send us. When you use the contact form on this site we receive your email, and the option you picked if you chose one. A job application adds your name, the role, links to your work and profile, and your note. When you email us we receive your message.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps them in short-lived server logs. We use your IP address to stop abuse of our forms.
Cookies.
We use two small cookies, both needed for the site to work: one protects our forms from forged submissions, and one shows you whether your message was sent. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Our cookie policy lists every cookie and how to say no.
How we use it.
- To reply to you, and to work out whether our robot fits your part.
- To consider you for a job you applied for.
- To run, secure and fix this website.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Who helps us.
We use a small number of service providers who handle data for us, under their own security and privacy terms: Vercel (website hosting), Resend (delivering form messages to our inbox) and Google Workspace (our email). We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger, financing or sale of the company.
How long we keep it.
We keep what you send us for as long as we need it for the reason you sent it, for example while we talk about a project or a role, and for as long as the law requires after that. Then we delete it.
Your choices.
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to privacy@defexrobotics.com and we will answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking. If you live in California, the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have these rights under your local law, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Where it is kept.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers store data in the United States and other countries. By sending us information you understand it will be handled there.
Children.
This site is for businesses and job seekers. It is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes.
If we change this policy we will update it here and change the date at the top.
